It's officially the New Year! Although the new year brings a fresh start, that does not mean we necessarily want to reinvent our wardrobe. With implementing a few simple tricks and by adding just a couple of new staples, we are sharing how to repurpose your Fall wardrobe for Winter with easy and chic outfit ideas for the season!
Denim jackets are synonymous with Fall, as they are a great transitional outerwear to get your from Summer to Fall. But don't put them away just yet! Denim jackets look great paired with Winter staples such a beanies, cozy scarves and a dark-wash pair of jeans. Instead of light layers, opt for an extra layer beneath your denim jacket or toss on an overcoat.
Long Sleeve Blouse
We all know the camel coat is another wardrobe staple that can carry you from Fall to even early Spring, with it's minimalistic and effortlessly chic vibes. However, another must-have closet piece that can be worn all year long and works perfectly with your camel coats during the Winter is a long sleeve blouse. We would opt for silk textures, since those keep you cool in the warmer months and can easily be dressed up. Long sleeve blouses also look perfect when paired with any style of trench coat. If your Winter is on the warmer side, look for a sleeveless trench/ coat vest and if your Winter is on the colder side add a blazer to the mix for another layer of warmth.
Can everyone agree an oversized cardigan is one of the coziest Fall and Winter trends? While you may have worn your oversized cardigan over a t-shirt dress or your favorite pair of denim jeans during the Fall, Winter season is the time for these cardigans to act as the perfect layering piece. Wear yours with OTK (over the knee) boots, a cozy beanie and a warm long-sleeve sweater or knit underneath and you will be warm and comfortable all Winter long.
Because of it's effortless edge, the moto jacket is one of those pieces that is easy to style throughout most seasons. From juxtaposing it with a playful dress or pairing it with a basic tee-one thing we know is it's a must-have for taking you from Fall to Winter. A perfect way to wear a moto jacket in the Winter is over a knit or cashmere sweater and paired with a sleek cross body purse. Also, have fun with choosing a moto jacket color! As you can see in the photos above, they can come in various colors besides your typical black and brown shades.
When we recently talked about fall accessories you need in your closet, we mentioned the baseball cap. It's one of those accessories and hat choices that give any look an athleisure edge and while it looks great worn with light layers during the Fall, style your baseball caps with longer coats and puffer jackets for extended style during the Winter.
